The first client enquiry that I ever had is from a person located within Asia. He was looking for a starting point for his store. He had almost everything except for a plan on how to start and which items to sell.
He contacted me through my website and emailed me asking for product tips that are related to lifestyle and home. He wanted to know which products to start selling and which products are “hot” within the market.
I replied to him through email with the specific information that he asked for. As soon as he received the email, I guess he was thrilled and scheduled a business call via teams.
I can hear his enthusiasm through the call. He explained that the information that I have given – gave him a revelation and excitedly asked “How soon can I start selling?”
I replied to him that as soon as he can assure that all preparation work is done on his side. I planned out a plan in which we both cooperate and went through step by step what was needed from both sides. This can assure that both sides can monitor each other through milestones. After several days, the final step, which is only to provide a place to receive the products from the product list that I have given him. I then conducted a last business call in which to congratulate the client that we have reached one of the final steps for his store. We both were excited. He was excited that his business plan is coming into fruition. While I was kinda excited for another reason. (Which is to get paid haha!)
A few weeks later – I have received an email and photos detailing that the products have safely arrived and now on the shelf of the client’s store. However, the work is not fully done yet!
I replied to him a general thank you for using my services and added the following:
“However, here is a some tips to boost the product value if you follow these steps, please note that these are recommendations that you don’t have to follow but if you do – it’ll help you sale faster”.
Days later I received a reply:
“Thank you for the tips and it did help in selling faster! Looking forward for to expand on the store in the future and I’ll sure to contact you as soon as everything is set!”
I replied with a heartful thank you email and couldn’t help but feel good that I am able to help start someone’s business journey!
